The Squatters Residency, Portland NSW - March 2023

As an artist based in Sydney, my focus is primarily on drawing and pushing the boundaries of the traditional drawing experience through contemporary approaches. I am also passionate about travelling and going on artist residencies to create site-specific artworks that respond to the location, including its ecology, history, inhabitants, and potential future. When embarking on a residency, my goal is to produce fresh, innovative work that reflects the essence of the place. Through my creative vision, I seek to uncover unique aspects of the location and interpret my discoveries in a meaningful way.

I have a fresh community project concept that invites participation from members of the community. I am excited to pursue this project during my artist residency while at Portland in March 2023.
